EExAT - Your child's online learning journal

EExAT is a really important tool we use to assess and monitor your child's learning and development! read the guide link above to get started to see all the amazing things they get up to at school!

Outdoor learning:

We have a fabulous outdoor space for learning. The children can choose to take their learning to the outdoor space throughout the day.

The children will have access to the outdoor learning space regardless of weather. Children will go out in all weathers and we will supply appropriate clothing for mud play.

Children will need a pair of wellington boots, which will need to stay in school for wet and messy activities.

Your child may come home messy, with mud, paint, clay, sand, water etc. This means they have had an amazing time in school and have immersed themselves in learning activities.

If your child is wet, we will change them into spare clothes. It would be helpful if you could provide a set of spare clothes (which do not have to be uniform) to hang on their peg. These need to be in a drawstring P.E. type bag, no rucksacks or carrier bags.

Our phonics sessions are short and we then reinforce that learning throughout the day during and in the context of their play. Information on phonics and how you can support your child with their learning, will follow in the new academic year. The phonics and sounds we are learning will be on the website so that you can support that learning at home. If you can log onto You Tube and find

Mr Thorne Does Phonics - Letters and Sounds - Mr T's Phonics - YouTube

This is a good video that shows you how to correctly say the sounds, which will support what we are doing at school and you can reinforce it at home.
