Whipperley Infant Academy ‘Learning, Growing, Together’

Exclusion Policy

Our vision is for all children to be purposefully engaged in our school with an educational programme appropriate to their needs and age. We want our children to flourish and to achieve positive outcomes for themselves, their families, and our community and for society at large. We want our children and our adults to be happy, healthy, capable and engaged with school and the wider community. Upholding a policy of “no school exclusions” will be a key indicator of our success. (see Behaviour policy & SEN Offer).

If the school does exclude it will follow the guidelines set down by the Department of Education: Exclusion from maintained schools, Academies and pupil referral units in England; A guide for those with legal responsibilities in relation to exclusion
